I'm sure you've all heard the phrase "never judge a book by its cover". It's overused and mostly lost its meaning. But I was wondering. Do you judge books by covers? As someone who is guilty of this on a regular basis, I wanted to know what others do, whether I'm the only one who can't seem to follow this timeless rule.

Yes, I don't buy a book because I like the cover, nor do I reject books just because I don't like the cover. But pretty covers and spines attract my attention, prompting me to pick the book up off the shelf at the bookstore or library and read the back cover or blurb on the dust jacket.
