Everyone has come across at least a few book character deaths that have made them cry, throw the book across the room, or any other form of emotional fit (if not, how are you alive? Hello, are you even human?).

Some fans even write letters to the authors asking why the character died. So here I bring you a question: is it the author's fault for killing the character, or does writing have a natural path which the author must obey?

I would say, no one knows. Maybe books have a path which the author will not realise until they reach it, or maybe authors are truly evil and choose to kill characters.
