Review: Stunning. Lois Lowry has created an amazing novel again, the best of The Giver Quartet. This time Lois Lowry combines the stories of The Giver, Gathering Blue, and Messenger in one to make another with a brilliant and moving tale with a fabulous and rightful ending. Lois Lowry knows how to captivate and stun millions. Son is written to conclude The Giver Quartet, and does so amazingly. The Giver was good. Gathering Blue was great. Messenger was Brilliant. They got better and better. And no, Son isn't good. Son is Amazing. Intoxicating. brilliant. Very well written. I genuinely loved Son, which twists and entwines the books previous to it in The Giver Quartet. Son provokes much thought, even after the world of The Giver has been put to sleep, and there is no more to read, no more to enjoy. Claire's story completely fits the worlds of The Giver, Gathering Blue, and messenger. Things you suspect are finally all revealed in Son. Lois Lowry is definitely deserving of her numerous awards, medals and prizes. her writing is too good for her not to earn ant/ The lovely world she has created will still thrive in reader's imagination.
